History

Room Remedies opened for business in 2001, and is the third generation of a business that has gone from Grandmother (in the 1960's) to Father to Daughter. Located originally in Wimbledon it started as a bric-a-brac shop, grew into an antique shop with workshop and then a home furnishing store with a mix of new and old that draws on the knowledge of the past to create a look that fits into a more modern home interior.

We specialized in the following:

- Painted and restored antique and vintage furniture that we do in-house.

- Making made to measure coatracks from reclaimed wood

- We offered a bespoke customer furniture painting service

- We ran a regular intro to furniture painting workshops

- We fabricated shelving, shoe racks, doorstops, mirrors and chalkboards using reclaimed materials where possible

- Up-cycled mirrors, small boxes, number plates, old windows, tennis raquets, cricket bats, golf clubs...

- Focused on Locally made and UK made products where possible

We loved to restore antique and vintage furniture and make our own from reclaimed materials.
