We do not use your details for any other purposes and would never sell or share it with any third parties.

We store your personal data in three ways.

Firstly, when you register on our website or make a purchase on the website the information that you enter is stored in a database behind a firewall, the information is sent using SSL (secure socket layer) encryption. You see it as a little lock that appears in the address bar of the browser you are using to view the website and https:// appears before our website address. This information is only accessible via a username and password and this information is limited to the owner of the business and one other website administrator. These details are kept for a maximum of two years and then they are deleted.

Secondly, if you have expressed an interest in person or via email about our paint classes we keep your name, email address and phone numbers to send you emails about future classes or to contact you about your booking. This information is only used by the owner and one other employee and only for these purposes. The computer is stand-alone and sits behind a firewall, a username and password is required to access the computer. The emails are generated using Mailchimp, they are a secure password protected platform, and have their own compliant privacy policy.

Thirdly, you may be in contact with us about an order, or a commission that we are carrying out for you. In this instance we will have your name, email address, phone number and sometimes also your address. This can be held electronically or as a note (hardcopy). This information is only used by the owner and one other employee and only for these purposes. The computer is stand-alone and sits behind a firewall, a username and password is required to access the computer. Hardcopies are destroyed once the contact is no longer active.

What Happens If We Lose or Share Your Data Without Consent – Data Breaches

We take security of your data seriously but unfortunately there may be an unforeseen occasion where things may happen that are beyond our control. In the event of a data breach we will inform you as soon as is practically possible about the nature, extent and possible impact of any data breach. This involves not only inadvertent sharing but also destruction of information through fire, flood, theft, loss etc… If the data breach is deemed serious enough, we will also inform the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) within 3 days of the breach and set-up an internal investigation as to the cause of any such breach. If required, we will communicate the results of such an investigation to you and also our intended plan to rectify and stop such breaches in the future. We only need to do this if there has been a definite or high risk breach as defined by the ICO.
